Rabindranath Tagore is one of the most influential poets in history. As a poet and musician, his works have been popular for centuries. This performance will be using Tagore’s musically talented verses as the foundation, using sound pasting as a tool and language. With a team of 10-20 sound painters, we aim to retell the words of Tagore from where it all started. For this performance, all company members will participate in weekly workshops over 6 weeks to learn the common language that will be used for this live and improvised performance. Following the workshop will be a 4-week long (weekly) rehearsal process where the company will be selecting and co-creating the pallet that they will be using to paint Tagore’s words back to the world.
